Double opt-in. A unique feature of FormForAll’s online form builder.

What is most important when collecting e-mail addresses ? Make sure they are correct! This is what Double opt-in is about.

Double opt-in procedure solves two points :

  1. it is an opt-in permission process that gives you the insurance that your web users agree to sign-up to your newsletter or similar request.
  2. it guaranties you that the declared e-mail addresses of your web users are valid.

And in some countries, legislation requests the use of Double opt-in!

FormForAll online form builder offers you to include Double opt-in within your sign-up forms, contact forms or any other forms. Of course, Double opt-in is also available to you when you use our online form builder platform through our WordPress contact form plugin or our Drupal webform module.

How do you activate Double opt-in option on your FormForAll form ?

Since Double opt-in is an e-mail address authentication process, your form must include either our “E-mail address” field

or our “Sign up” field with the choice “E-mail”.

Once your form is created, save it for publishing and go on to SETTINGS to the sub-menu Double opt-in.

In this sub-menu, you are asked to customize the authentication e-mail with the verification link that we send on your behalf the declared e-mail addresses of your web users.

When your web user clicks on the link in the e-mail, the link returns the web user first to our platform where we verify the information and then to your website, at the URL you declare. To do so, you must use our Records API to retrieve the information that we have authenticated the declared e-mail address and allow it to log-in to your site (read our documentation for more details).

Double opt-in is an option available to all our pricing plans, including our free form builder plan.
